- The attached table lists the total population for Kansas, each county, each township, and every city. The population totals for each of the townships equal the population in those townships that lives outside of incorporated cities. Therefore, the sum of the township populations in each county equals the rural population of the county and equals the total identified in the table as “balance of county.”
