Second Escapee from Winfield Correctional Facility Captured
Authorities located Robert E. Cook, 52, Monday morning in Byers, more than a week after Cook and another inmate fled Winfield Correctional Facility in a state-owned truck. The other inmate, Frank Crutchfield, 48, was arrested Wednesday, June 20.
One Winfield Correctional Facility Escapee Back in Custody
A Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest Wednesday of escapee Frank L. Crutchfield, 48, by Wichita Police. Authorities continue to search for Robert E. Cook, 52, who escaped with Crutchield from Winfield Correctional Facility Saturday.
