Shawnee County Reentry Program

The Shawnee County Reentry Program (SCRP) began enrolling participants in the Spring of 2003. The program was initially funded by federal funds, through the Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative (SVORI). Through two awards, KDOC received $1,352,000, to support this program. As federal funds ran out, the state sustained the program, and by July 1, 2008, the program will be funded by state dollars.
