Wyandotte County Re-Entry Volunteer Recognized by the Kansas City Star and Kansas City Parole Officer
Wyandotte County Re-Entry Volunteer Recognized by the Kansas City Star and Kansas City Parole Officer.
Volunteer Rosa Ross was recognized by the Kansas City Star on Monday, September 8th, 2009. Rosa is a volunteer with WCRP through the Community Accountability Program and is a Spanish Interpreter for the Family Orientation program. Supervisor Josh Peery wrote, “With more people in our communities who cannot speak English and whose primary language is Spanish, it is very beneficial to have someone like Rosa Ross who can interpret for them. Having a volunteer who can eliminate this barrier can make a big difference toward a person’s success in the community.” The families served through the Spanish Family Orientation have shared their gratitude for Rosa taking the time to explain to them what their loved one will face when they are released from prison. Wyandotte County Re-Entry Program is fortunate to have a Rosa Ross as a volunteer! Thank you, Rosa for the difference you are making in the lives of others.
