Blake, whose real name is being withheld for privacy issues, arrived at Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex (KJCC) without a high school diploma or GED. On Friday, June 17, that changed as Blake and his 16 classmates, dressed in caps and gowns, received their diplomas from KJCC's Lawrence Gardner High School (LGHS) in front of friends and family.

Please be advised that there will not be public comment sessions held in the month of September. Due to an oversight, public comments for those residents that are scheduled for October PE hearings with the PRB will be held on October 6, 2022. The Prisoner Review Board will not issue final decisions until the scheduled public comment session has been held. These residents may become eligible for parole in November 2022.

Topeka Correctional Facility (TCF) will hold its annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, May 9, through Saturday, May 14, on the grounds of the correctional facility located at 815 S.E. Rice Rd., Topeka. Proceeds from the sale benefit TCF inmate self-help groups such as Pooches and Pals, the Running Free Running Club, the African American Culture Group and Reaching Out From Within.
