Topeka Correctional Facility (TCF) will hold its annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, May 9, through Saturday, May 14, on the grounds of the correctional facility located at 815 S.E. Rice Rd., Topeka. Proceeds from the sale benefit TCF inmate self-help groups such as Pooches and Pals, the Running Free Running Club, the African American Culture Group and Reaching Out From Within.

In Kansas, 97 percent of inmates will be released from prison at some point, returning to their local communities. In an effort to prepare offenders for return, inmates are provided programming that addresses substance misuse, sex offending, job readiness, parenting/family, criminal/anti-social thinking, GED readiness, vocational training, work release and pre-release.
