Once a training document is reviewed, a program consultant in the Contracted Services Unit can be contacted to request a written exam to test the knowledge gained through the training.

  • The exam will be graded and feedback will be provided including the allotted training hours.
  • A grade of 80% or higher will be deemed a successful completion of training.







Training Documents

Quality Assurance Case Reads & Supervision Planning

  • This training will review the case read checklist and provide detailed information regarding the review process utilized by the Department of Corrections in determining if a case read is successful. 
  • This training also covers evidence-based approaches to creating a successful supervision plan and requirements for plan completion.

Quality Assurance Critical / Non-Critical Incident Reporting

  • This training will review the process utilized by Community Supervision Agencies to report and document critical and non-critical incident reports. 

Reducing Recidivism Through Effective Community Placements

  • This training will provide an overview of the 8 levels of service KDOC contracts with for out of home placements, characteristics of youth appropriate for placement in each level, and the process for making referrals to contracted providers.
  • Training Hours:  Upon completion of the training, contact Michelle Montgomery to receive the exam.
