KDOC raises money in Governor's Freedom Ride

Several members of KDOC joined a host of motorcycle enthusiasts for a 100-mile ride to raise funds for Kansas causes.

Secretary Ray Roberts joined Governor Sam Brownback in the 2013 Governor's Freedom Ride to raise support for Brothers in Blue Re-entry program, as well as for Kansas Wounded Warrior Fund, Army Community Service, Native Stone Scenic  Byway, and the Flint Hills National Scenic Byway.

"We're very appreciative of the governor for allowing us to (participate) and we're exctited about it," Don Raymond, director of Brother in Blue Re-entry, told a reporter from KCTV-5 just before pulling away for the second annual ride.
