Secretary Ray Roberts took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Monday after nominating the Kansas Department of Corrections' (KDOC) deputy secretaries, wardens and superintendents to follow his lead.
Secretary Roberts sat on the Statehouse steps for the challenge that is raising awareness and funds for the fight against ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease.
In nominating members of the KDOC's System Management Team, Secretary Roberts also nominated Samir Arif, legislative liaison, to take the challenge.
