Kansas Department of Corrections

The Department of Corrections, as part of the criminal justice system, contributes to the public safety and supports victims of crime by exercising safe and effective containment and supervision of inmates, by managing offenders in the community, and by by actively encouraging and assisting offenders to become law-abiding citizens.

Community Services
The Kansas Department of Corrections and the Lansing Correctional Facility are committed to assisting the communities throughout the State of Kansas. The means of providing this assistance is through the utilization of inmate labor. Assistance is available to governmental agencies as well as charitable organizations.
