14 residents at Norton Correctional Facility are part of the first graduating class from the facility's solar energy program. It's a Can't-Miss program that prepares graduates for a high-demand, high-wage industry.
14 residents at Norton Correctional Facility are part of the first class of graduates from the Solar Energy program, officially the Associate of Applied Science in Sustainable/Renewable Energy program through Colby Community College. In all, 36 residents at Norton Correctional Facility received either their GED, Certificate of Completion in Telecommunications, or Technical Certification of Completion in Wind Technology. It's a Can't-Miss program that prepares graduates for a high-demand, high-wage industry. The program started two years ago at NCF, designed by Derek Reilley, who is arguably the nation’s top instructor for solar energy.
