Kansas Correctional Officers' & Employees Week, May 5-12

May 5-11, 2019 was declared Kansas Correctional Officers’ and Employees’ Week by Governor Laura Kelly.

KDOC facilities around the state recognized and celebrated their staff’s successes during the week with a variety of events and recognition celebrations.

Representing the KDOC at the recent proclamation signing by Governor Kelly for Kansas Correctional Officers’ and Employees’ week were: Christopher Dean, Ellsworth Correctional Facility, Emilio Martinez, El Dorado Correctional Facility, Aaron Foran, Hutchinson Correctional Facility, Samantha Smith, Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex,  Joyce Haberman, Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility,  Oletha Bronaugh, Lansing Correctional Facility, Wyatt Daniels, Norton Correctional Facility, Cara Gregg, Topeka Correctional Facility,  Scott Jenkins, Winfield Correctional Facility, Cassandra Vogel, Wichita Parole Office, and Douglas Lawson, Kansas Correctional Association.
