The Kansas Attorney General, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, and Kansas Department of Corrections last week partnered with local and federal authorities on Operation Teamwork, a strategic plan to track down absconders and others wanted by the KDOC.

This afternoon I appeared before the House Public Safety Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee along with the heads of other public safety agencies. We were asked, in light of the revised revenue projections, to identify how we could reduce the Department’s FY 2010 budget by an additional 5% ($10,800,000).
