EDUCATIONAL
One of the goals of the facility is to educate residents in life skills and other educational subjects to allow the resident  to succeed when released.  We are looking for volunteers to lead residents in these courses:
  • Job Readiness Skills
  • Employment After Prison
  • Basic Parenting
  • Parenting from Prison
  • Family Reunification
  • Money Management
  • GED Studies
ACTIVITIES
The residents also participate in activities like art, music, crafts, social and self-help organizations.  We are looking for volunteers to assist in the following organizations:
  • African Awareness
  • Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Arts in Prison (music, choir, art, poetry)
  • Fine Arts Society
  • Hispanic Awareness
  • Incarcerated Veterans
  • Narcotic Anonymous
  • Reaching Out From Within
  • Mentoring 4 Success
RELIGIOUS
We are very lucky to have several volunteers for most of the residents’ religious needs.  There are still some specific offender faith groups that would appreciate guidance from those similar faith groups outside the prison.  Those are:
  • Asatru
  • Assembly of Yahweh
  • House of Yahweh
  • Islamic
  • Judaism
  • Moorish Science Temple of America
  • Native American
  • Rastafarian
  • Thelema
  • Wiccan
